On June 19, 2025, the Boston Guthi Foundation hosted its first cultural event at Sandy Beach in Winchester, by the beautiful Mystic River.
We brought together 25–30 Nepali children and their families for a fun and meaningful day. The event featured music, storytelling, and simple cultural activities that helped our kids learn about Nepali traditions and take pride in their heritage.
One of the most exciting parts of the day was using our new inflatable kayak. With help from adults, each child had the opportunity to go out on the water safely. It was a fun experience that helped them build confidence and try something new.
The river and open space provided everyone with an opportunity to relax, chat, and enjoy each other’s company. Families shared stories, created new memories, and felt a deeper connection. It was a special day, and just the beginning of what we hope will be many more events like this.
